Interesting Villages
Masgot is home of the renowned sculptor François Michaud. Weekly exhibitions are held at the
museum and provides the opportunity to try sculpting yourself.
Other places to visit include Limoges with its famous history in porcelain just
45 minutes drive away, or the historic tapestry town of Aubusson.

Sport
If motor-sports interest you, there is a quad bike track at La Souterraine, and numerous motocross circuits in the area. For equestrian pursuits, there are several riding stables in the area.
Lac Chambon and Les Trois Lacs by the river Creuse provide ideal locations for swimming, kayaking, water ski-ing and boating.
Wildlife
For those who are interested in wildlife, you will discover an abundance of different birds and animals. Deer, pine marten and foxes are regular visitors to the camp, and red squirrels inhabit the surrounding woodland.
Buzzards as well as black and red kites fly overhead as do the annual migratory flocks of cranes. Regular visitors to the campsite include black, green and lesser spotted woodpeckers, nuthatches, hoopoe, jays and magpies, along with the usual garden birds that we all know. Around the lake, kingfishers, herons and dippers can often be seen.
